Tranquil Mobile Massage provides a variety of massage-types. Every person is different and for every person there are different needs. Therefor we provide different techniques. In one massage, different techniques can be performed as needed.

A few of the modalities we provide are:

Swedish - This gentle massage will increase circulation and calm the central nervous system. Soothing away muscle tension and stress to re-balance your body and improving an overall relaxed mind and body.

Deep Tissue - A very effective massage technique that is directed to specific muscles and their fibers. Its purpose is to un-stick the muscle fibers, while releasing deeply held patterns of tension, removing toxins, relaxing and soothing the body.

Sports  - Similar to Swedish but with a specific rhythm to stimulate and inhibit the muscles in the most effective way. Goal of this massage is to enhance the athletes performance with a pre-event massage. Post-event massage allows the body to recover better, naturally.

Shiatsu - A manipulative therapy developed in Japan and incorporating techniques of "anma" (Japanese traditional massage), acupressure, stretching, and Western massage. Shiatsu involves applying pressure to special points or areas on the body in order to maintain physical and mental well being, treat disease, or alleviate discomfort. This therapy is considered holistic because it attempts to treat the whole person instead of a specific medical complaint. All types of acupressure generally focus on the same pressure points and so-called energy pathways, but may differ in terms of massage technique. Shiatsu, which can be translated as finger pressure, has been described as needle-free acupuncture. Shiatsu has a strong reputation for reducing stress and relieving nausea and vomiting. Shiatsu is also believed to improve circulation and boost the immune system. Shiatsu can be used to relieve muscular pain or tension, especially neck and back pain. It also appears to have sedative effects and may alleviate insomnia. In a broader sense, shiatsu is believed to enhance physical vitality and emotional well being.

Lymphatic Drainage - The techniques used in the lymphatic massage treats the condition of Lymph edema, which is described by the obstruction of lymph nodes in the arms and legs. The lymphatic massage is an effective way to detox (ridding of waste) the body. The techniques of lymphatic massage involve the use of gentle application of strokes in the direction of lymph flow in order to release any blocked lymph vessels, and permit lymph flow to channelize waste from the body freely. The lymphatic massage techniques are deftly carried out by a certified lymphatic massage therapist, who makes use of an easy pattern of circular movement to the individual's skin. Lymphatic massage techniques are applied to the bare skin, and there is no application of any kind of essential or aroma oils or lotions that are used for the massage. The treatment is best effective when done with bare hands. The massage is administered in light strokes towards the direction of the heart. This particular lymphatic massage technique lightly stretches the walls of the lymph vessels and fosters unwanted lymph drainage.

Preparation for massage:

Refrain from using fragrances and/or scented oils, because some of out therapists are allergic to these. Clear a space of a minimum of 8ft by 4ft for the therapist to set up their table. The therapist will provide sheets and supplies for the massage. Should you rather use your own sheets or lotion, feel free to mention that when you schedule your appointment. For any questions, please call or text us before the session begins.
